Musician Lennon has taken to X to share an honest and personal update about his health, revealing that he has recently been diagnosed with coronary heart disease and pre-diabetes. Alongside the announcement, he offered reassurance to fans that both conditions were detected early and are already being actively managed.
In his message, Lennon encouraged people not to delay medical check-ups, stressing the importance of early detection even for those who maintain a healthy lifestyle. “After being diagnosed with Coronary Heart Disease & a Pre-Diabetic, I urge all to get checked out sooner than later,” he wrote, noting that underlying health issues can exist without obvious symptoms.
Despite the diagnoses, the musician shared a positive outlook. He explained that catching the conditions early has made it possible to begin reversing some of the damage and improving his long-term outlook. “Even with these ailments, I’ve managed to catch them early enough, to be able to reverse some of the damage and will hopefully be able to live a healthy long life,” he added.
He also expressed gratitude toward the medical professionals supporting him through this new chapter, thanking doctors for their guidance and care. Ending his message on a reflective note, Lennon encouraged his followers once again to take preventive health seriously, saying, “Please get checked out, before you’re checked out.”
Alongside his post, Lennon shared a series of images showing him spending time in nature, suggesting a focus on recovery, balance, and well-being.
According to health guidance from the NHS, coronary heart disease occurs when the heart’s blood supply is restricted due to a buildup of fatty deposits in the coronary arteries. While it cannot be cured, it can often be managed through lifestyle changes, medication, or medical procedures aimed at reducing the risk of serious complications such as heart attacks.
Pre-diabetes, meanwhile, refers to higher-than-normal blood sugar levels that are not yet in the diabetic range. Although it does not always progress to type 2 diabetes, it significantly increases the risk without appropriate lifestyle and medical management.
Lennon’s update also comes after previous health challenges, including skin cancer surgeries in 2020 and again in 2024. His latest message highlights both the importance of early diagnosis and his ongoing commitment to recovery and long-term health awareness.
