Jack White has once again taken aim at Donald Trump after the unveiling of a towering new statue dubbed “Don Colossus” at Trump National Doral Miami in Florida.
The 22-foot monument — financed by cryptocurrency investors behind the $PATRIOT memecoin — depicts Trump raising his fist following the 2024 assassination attempt against him. The statue was unveiled during a ceremony led by Pastor Mark Burns, who described it as a symbol of “the hand of God” protecting Trump.
White, however, saw things very differently. Sharing an image of the statue on Instagram, the former White Stripes frontman wrote: “The most frustrating part of modern American life is the attempt to make sense of people who don’t even CARE that they make no sense at all.”
The outspoken rocker has repeatedly criticised Trump in recent months, previously branding him “the worst American of all time” and condemning the president’s controversial AI-generated image portraying himself as Jesus.
Despite the political back-and-forth — including a White House spokesperson dismissing White as “a washed up, has-been loser” — the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductee has shown no signs of backing down.
Meanwhile, White is preparing to hit the road on a new world tour running from June through November, including UK and Ireland dates in London, Bristol, Newcastle, Belfast and Dublin.
