2023 Hyundai Palisade – Overview
Since its release for the 2020 model year, the Hyundai Palisade has been a smash hit for the South Korean automaker, selling over 80,000 units in 2020 and repeating the feat in 2021.
As a result, the 2023 Hyundai Palisade gets even bolder looks, a redesigned interior, and the newest electronic gizmos, marking the mid-size SUV’s first makeover.
Here are the major highlights:
- The Hyundai Palisade for 2023 has been redesigned and presented at the New York International Auto Show.
- The cabin has been redesigned and now includes a 12.0-inch infotainment screen as standard equipment.
- Palisade’s powertrain remains intact, with a 3.8-liter V-6 producing 291 horsepower and 262 pound-feet of torque.
Exterior Design
The grille of the Palisade has been redesigned to be more rectangular, and it now has the same armor-like visual treatment as the Tucson and Santa Cruz.
The Palisade’s lines have been squared off, and the vast, boomerang-shaped vertical LED lighting signature has been shifted to the grille’s outside edge, optically widening the SUV.
The Palisade pictured above has new 20-inch 15-spoke wheels and a revised back bumper.

Interior Design
The interior has been changed and updated, with a new steering wheel and narrow horizontal air vents running the length of the dashboard.
A 12.0-inch infotainment screen is now standard, and there are USB-C connectors strewn over the cabin.
The Palisade also has a massaging feature in the driver’s seat, heated seats in the third row, wing-out headrests, and seat ventilation in the second row.
Infotainment and Tech
The Palisade is well-equipped with current technology. A digital rearview mirror, for example, is now available, and wireless charging is much faster than before.
The latest version of Hyundai Digital Key, which allows owners to lock, unlock, and start their car without a key using an iPhone, Apple Watch, or Samsung Galaxy, is also available, or drivers can start the car remotely using the key fob or Blue Link app.
The Palisade is also Hyundai’s first vehicle to include a Wi-Fi hotspot.
Engine Specifications
In the 2023 Palisade, the 3.8-liter V-6 engine remains unaltered, providing 291 horsepower and 262 pound-feet of torque.
The Palisade’s eight-speed automatic transmission is still available, and it may be ordered with front- or all-wheel drive.
All-wheel-drive Palisades get a Tow mode, which reprograms the gearbox to hold lower speeds for longer and reduces the frequency of gear changes.
With rear side-impact airbags now standard, the Palisade should be safer than before. In addition, forward collision avoidance aid, navigation-based smart cruise control, highway driving help, and remote smart parking assist are among the driver-assistance systems available.
Date of Launch
Hyundai also claims that the Palisade will have an XRT trim, similar to the XRT variants that debuted last year on the Santa Fe and Tucson.
With dark 20-inch wheels, skid plates, roof rails, and dark trim, the Palisade XRT will be an off-road appearance kit.
The XRT will be getting more information and photographs in the coming months. The Palisade 2023 will go on sale in early summer, with pricing revealed later.
Price
However, we anticipate considerable price increases, with the current Palisade model at $34,845 and the Calligraphy model at $48,535.
