During his June 19 show at Utah First Credit Union Amphitheatre in West Valley City, the 81-year-old singer appeared noticeably less energetic than usual. According to reports from TMZ, Stewart was seen leaning on various objects for support while performing and struggling to move around the stage with his typical vigor.
A concerning moment unfolded when Stewart doubled over on stage and required assistance from members of his team. Video footage obtained by TMZ reportedly shows an oxygen tank being brought out, allowing the singer to take several puffs before continuing the show.
After recovering, Stewart addressed the audience with his characteristic honesty and humor.
“The show must go on,” he told concertgoers. “I nearly f—ing fainted there. Would you mind if I sit down for this one?”
The crowd responded with support as Stewart completed the remainder of the concert from a chair, ensuring fans still received the performance they came to see.

The onstage scare comes amid a series of recent health setbacks for the rock veteran. Earlier this month, Stewart was forced to reschedule several performances from his Las Vegas residency after coming down with the flu.

“So sorry, my friends. I’m devastated and sincerely apologize for any inconvenience to my fans,” Stewart wrote. “I’ll be back on stage and we’ll see you soon – Sir Rod.”
The singer also canceled a California concert at short notice due to health concerns. However, his appearance at a World Cup match in Boston later the same day sparked criticism from some fans who questioned the cancellation.
In a statement shared on Instagram, Stewart’s team revealed that he had been dealing with an acute upper respiratory infection that resulted in laryngitis. Stewart later reassured fans that he was feeling much better but admitted that his voice had not recovered enough for live performances.
“I’m very disappointed and sincerely apologize for any inconvenience to my fans,” he wrote. “I did everything I could to make the show happen tonight.”
