Evanescence have officially premiered the music video for “Who Will You Follow,” the latest single from their highly anticipated upcoming album Sanctuary. The record is scheduled for release on June 5, 2026, through BMG, and the band continue to build momentum around what is shaping up to be one of their most emotionally charged eras in years.
Originally released on April 10, “Who Will You Follow” offers another glimpse into the atmosphere and emotional depth of Sanctuary. The album will be available in multiple formats, including digital, standard CD, deluxe CD, and a limited-edition box set aimed at longtime collectors and dedicated fans.
The newly released video was directed by Jensen Noen, known for his visually striking work with artists such as Falling in Reverse and In This Moment. His signature cinematic style perfectly complements Evanescence’s dark, emotional aesthetic, delivering a polished visual experience that amplifies the intensity of the song.
Sanctuary also includes the previously released single “Afterlife,” which reached No. 1 on both Billboard’s Mainstream Rock Airplay chart and the Mediabase Active Rock Radio chart across the U.S. and Canada. The strong reception to the track has only increased anticipation surrounding the full album.
Production on the album was handled by Jordan Fish and Zakk Cervini, bringing a modern and expansive sound to the project while still preserving the emotional core that has defined Evanescence throughout their career.
Frontwoman Amy Lee described Sanctuary as a deeply personal body of work that has been more than three years in the making. In a statement about the album, Lee explained that creating the record became an outlet for processing overwhelming emotions and finding hope through music and human connection. She also said she is “so damn proud” of every aspect of the project.
Alongside the album release, Evanescence are preparing to launch a major 2026 world tour beginning June 11. The North American run will feature support from Spiritbox and Nova Twins, while Poppy will join the UK and European dates. K.Flay is also set to appear on select UK shows.
The band are additionally partnering with the PLUS1 initiative, donating $1/£1/€1 from every ticket sold to humanitarian aid and medical relief organizations, further reinforcing the message of connection and compassion behind the new album cycle.
With the release of “Who Will You Follow” and its powerful visual counterpart, Evanescence are making it clear that Sanctuary is far more than just another studio album. It represents a carefully crafted artistic statement — one built on emotion, resilience, and the enduring power of music.
