The Voice Set to Spend Millions to Bring Back Fan-Favorite Coaches, Including an Original Star

Fans Excited as The Voice Teases Coach Reunions and Major Plans for Season 30

Fans of The Voice have plenty to look forward to in 2026. NBC is set to premiere Season 29 in February, featuring updated formats and the highly anticipated reunion of Kelly Clarkson and Adam Levine, who will share the coaching panel for the first time in seven years. Beyond that, the show is also gearing up for a major milestone: Season 30, expected to debut in the fall, with reports hinting at ambitious plans for the upcoming season.

According to The Sun, producers are eyeing what they consider a dream coaching lineup for Season 30: Blake Shelton, Adam Levine, Gwen Stefani, and Kelly Clarkson. Sources say discussions are ongoing, and NBC may be willing to invest heavily to bring the star-studded panel together.

The outlet notes that producers have long wanted to reunite Shelton and Levine and see Season 30 as the perfect opportunity. Adding Gwen Stefani would give the panel a family dynamic, while Kelly Clarkson is reportedly considered the ideal choice to round out the coaches. However, no deals have been finalized, and plans could still change, as production for Season 30 is not expected to start until late spring or early summer.

While the proposed lineup would unite some of the most iconic coaches in the show’s history, potential hurdles remain. Blake Shelton has not publicly expressed interest in returning since leaving the show in 2023. Following his departure, he stepped back from television before launching The Road, a Paramount+ series focused on mentoring emerging artists.

Securing Shelton and Stefani could also come with high costs, given their current commitments. Kelly Clarkson’s availability may be limited as well. She previously left The Voice after relocating her talk show to New York and has emphasized the importance of remaining on the East Coast to be close to her children. While her return for Season 29 surprised fans, it is unclear whether she would commit to back-to-back seasons.

At this point, the rumored Season 30 coaching lineup remains unconfirmed. NBC has not issued official statements, and representatives for the coaches have yet to comment publicly.

The Voice Season 29 premieres Monday, February 23, at 9 p.m. ET on NBC, with episodes also available for streaming on Peacock.
