After debuting in 2011, The Voice recently wrapped its 28th season, ending on a high note as Aiden Ross secured coach Niall Horan his third win in three appearances. With excitement already building for season 29—set to premiere February 23 on NBC—attention is now quietly shifting even further ahead. According to reports, producers are already planning something special for the show’s milestone 30th season, expected to launch in fall 2026.
Sources suggest that production has a dream coaching lineup in mind to mark the occasion. While filming for season 30 isn’t expected to begin until late spring or early summer 2026 and no official announcements have been made, insiders claim the ideal panel would reunite longtime fan favorites Kelly Clarkson, Adam Levine, Blake Shelton, and Gwen Stefani.
Executives are reportedly prepared to go to great lengths to make this reunion happen. Such a lineup would bring back original coach Blake Shelton alongside his wife, Gwen Stefani, as well as his longtime on-screen “bromance” with Adam Levine. Shelton and Stefani famously met while filming season 7 in 2014 and married in 2021. Shelton stepped away from the show in 2023 after an impressive 23-season run, while Levine initially left in 2019 before returning for season 27. Stefani last appeared in season 26, and Clarkson exited following season 23.
“If producers get their way, season 30 will feature Adam, Blake, Gwen, and Kelly,” a source shared, noting that nothing has been finalized yet.
Meanwhile, two of those rumored coaches are already confirmed for season 29. Kelly Clarkson and Adam Levine will return alongside EGOT winner John Legend for The Voice: Battle of Champions. The upcoming season marks the first time the series has moved away from its traditional four-coach format, instead featuring three previous winners competing head-to-head. Clarkson has claimed four victories, Levine three, and Legend one.
Season 29 will also introduce new twists, including a “Super Steal” and an “In-Season All-Star Competition,” setting the stage for an exciting new chapter as The Voice looks toward its future.
