The Shocking Evidence Suggesting ‘The Kelly Clarkson Show’ Is Nearing Its Unthinkable End.

It looks like Kelly Clarkson’s daytime talk show could be coming to a close. Multiple sources tell Page Six that the singer-turned-host may step away after this season. One insider called her exit “definite,” while another said it’s “likely that it will not go on.”

“[Her show] is a lot to put on, and looking at the landscape across daytime television, it’s not sustainable anymore,” sources added, citing challenges in today’s syndication market.

Rumors last year suggested that former Today anchor Hoda Kotb could replace Clarkson amid her potential departure. NBC insiders reportedly considered a long list of names, including Kotb, for the role.

The Kelly Clarkson Show premiered in 2019, and while speculation continues, another source stressed that no final decision has been made. “Nothing is definite yet, and it’s still a long season,” they said.

Clarkson has reportedly been contemplating leaving when her contract expires this year. She briefly stepped away from the show in 2025 to care for her ex-husband, Brandon Blackstock, who tragically passed away at 48 after a private battle with melanoma. Clarkson and Blackstock, whom she divorced in 2023, share two children: River Rose, 11, and Remington “Remy” Alexander, 9.

Since his passing, Clarkson has prioritized parenting and helping her kids cope. In a recent fan Q&A, she shared that her favorite time of day is bedtime, when she can cuddle with her children. “There’s been a lot for our family recently, and so I have allowed my kids to sleep with me quite a bit. So it’s my two dogs, my kids, and me. It’s a lot,” she said.

She added, “It’s been really special, though. The conversations you have during that time are pretty cute. So that’s probably my favorite time of day.”
