Riley Green Confirms His Acting Debut, Set to Arrive Sooner Than Expected

Riley Green Confirms His Acting Debut Is Coming Soon

For months, Riley Green has been quietly dropping hints that his next chapter might take shape not on a concert stage, but on a screen. And no, this isn’t about another music video.

During a recent conversation about his whirlwind year and his partnership with HEYDUDE, the country star finally made it official: his acting debut is happening—and it’s coming sooner than fans might expect. While he’s keeping most details under wraps, Green shared just enough to confirm that something new is on the way.

“I probably need to sit down and figure out what I’m allowed to say,” he said with a laugh. “But I guess I can say that I’ve done some acting, it’s a show, and it’s going to be airing sometime fairly soon.”

For Green, the transition from performing on stage to acting on set felt more natural than he anticipated. Thanks to a packed touring schedule, he barely had time to get nervous before the cameras started rolling.

“It helped a lot that I knew some of the people on the show and on set,” he explained. “Everybody was great to work with, and that’s not always the case. I’ve done a little bit of film stuff before—music videos and commercials—but this was different. I felt comfortable as soon as I got there. It all happened so fast that I didn’t really have time to get nervous. The scene was done and I thought, ‘Okay, I guess that went all right.’ Nobody yelled at me, so I took that as a good sign,” he added, joking that the experience was “a lot of fun.”

Balancing acting with his demanding tour schedule wasn’t easy. Green often flew out to film scenes and then immediately headed back out on the road to play shows.

“The travel was probably the toughest part,” he admitted. “I was still playing every weekend, flying out, flying back, and flying out again. But once I was on set and got into that head space, the acting itself felt pretty natural to me.”

While fans wait for the official reveal of his acting project, they’ll still have plenty of chances to see Green live. The Alabama native is set to hit the road in 2026 with his Cowboy As It Gets Tour, which will take him across North America and beyond. This time around, he’s introducing new production elements to keep things fresh.

“We’ve added some production and a B stage, which I’ve never done before,” he shared. “The stage setting and lighting have some new touches too, but it’ll still have that duck blind–ish feel. That’s what feels on brand for me and where I’m most comfortable.”

Details on Green’s acting debut are expected soon—but until then, fans can look forward to seeing him do what he does best, both on stage and, very soon, on screen.
