‘Reba’ Fans, You’ll Never Believe This Star Might Make an Appearance on ‘Happy’s Place’ as NBC sitcom coming back for season 2

With Happy’s Place returning for Season 2, fans are loving seeing Reba McEntire back in her sitcom groove. But the big question now is: will more familiar faces from her past join the fun?

The NBC comedy already reunites McEntire with her former Reba co-star Melissa Peterman, and their on-screen chemistry has been a major highlight. Their history as Reba Hart and Barbra Jean on the original series sparked a wave of nostalgia, making guest appearances from other cast members feel like a natural next step.

Season 1 delivered exactly that. Steve Howey, who played Van Montgomery, and Christopher Rich, known as Brock Hart, both stopped by the Knoxville tavern, delighting longtime fans. Now, viewers are wondering who might be next.

According to showrunner Kevin Abbott, the team is already working on bringing another familiar face into the mix. One name that keeps coming up is JoAnna Garcia Swisher, who played Reba’s daughter Cheyenne for six seasons on Reba.

Swisher has been busy with the Sweet Magnolias, which is currently awaiting news about a possible fifth season. Still, scheduling challenges haven’t dampened her enthusiasm about a reunion. In a previous interview, she shared that the Reba cast remains very close and that she would “love to do anything” with her former co-stars if the opportunity came along.

For fans, the idea of Cheyenne walking into Happy’s Place — even for a cameo — would be the ultimate full-circle moment. Until then, viewers will just have to keep their fingers crossed and enjoy the continued laughs and heart that the series delivers each week.
