Happy’s Place Season 2 is back on NBC, delivering laughs, heart, and a little romance. Returning November 7, the sitcom stars Reba McEntire and Melissa Peterman, along with Rex Linn, Belissa Escobedo, Pablo Castelblanco, and Tokala Black Elk.
The show follows Bobbie (McEntire) as she inherits her late father’s bar in Knoxville, Tennessee—Happy’s Place. But her world is turned upside down when her long-lost half-sister Isabella (Escobedo) arrives, forcing the siblings to navigate the tavern and life together.
On-Screen and Off-Screen Romance
While Bobbie and Emmett (Linn) share chemistry on-screen, their romance extends to real life. McEntire and Linn have been dating since 2020 and got engaged in December 2024. Linn told PEOPLE that sometimes he’ll “sneak by for a quick kiss” during filming, and Peterman called the couple “adorably cute,” noting they often share moments together during breaks.
The two first met in 1991 on a Kenny Rogers movie set but only began dating decades later. McEntire shared that being with Linn has made her “happier now than I’ve ever been,” describing him as “tender-hearted” and “a good guy.” She also said working alongside him on Happy’s Place has added a new, special dimension to her career, from rehearsals to driving to work together and sharing in the creative process.
