Speaking with Us Weekly while juggling other projects, McEntire acknowledged Garcia Swisher’s busy schedule—producing, starring in three movies, and working on Sweet Magnolias—but assured fans she’ll be appearing on the series soon. “JoAnna is a very busy lady, but she said she’d definitely be there,” McEntire said.

Happy’s Place, which premiered in 2024, has already welcomed several returning Reba cast members. Melissa Peterman, who originally played Barbra, is now a main cast member, while Christopher Rich and Steve Howey made guest appearances in Season 1. McEntire expressed how meaningful it has been to reunite the cast: “Melissa, JoAnna, and Steve have all been very busy. Getting Steve in for our Christmas episode and bringing Chris back—that was really special.”

Garcia Swisher, known for her role as Cheyenne, the daughter of McEntire and Rich’s characters in Reba, has yet to reveal which character she will portray in Happy’s Place. The series has been officially renewed for Season 2, though a premiere date has not yet been announced.
