Snoop Dogg proved he’s still a showstopper at the 2026 Golden Globe Awards. The hip-hop icon earned a standing ovation on January 11 at the Beverly Hilton in Beverly Hills, California, when he took the stage to present the ceremony’s inaugural award for Best Podcast—a category he joked was “very important” to him.

“Before podcasts, I was what you all listened to driving around in your cars,” Snoop quipped during the ceremony, which was hosted by Nikki Glaser. “To you podcasters—you better hope I don’t get in that game.”
After Snoop presented the award to Amy Poehler for her Good Hang podcast, the actress and comedian couldn’t hide her delight. “This is exactly how I pictured it—Snoop giving me the award,” she said. “When award shows get it right, it just makes sense.”
Snoop’s appearance was just one highlight of a night packed with laughs. During her opening monologue, Glaser delivered playful jabs at several A-listers, including Leonardo DiCaprio, poking fun at his dating history while still praising his storied career. DiCaprio took the joke in stride, laughing along with the crowd.

Glaser also turned her attention to Timothée Chalamet, joking about his dedication to his role in Marty Supreme, teasing that he became “the first actor in history to put on muscle for a movie about ping pong.” Chalamet, seated beside girlfriend Kylie Jenner, appeared amused by the roast.
As the laughs settled, the awards took center stage. Seth Rogen won Best Actor in a Television Series (Musical or Comedy) for The Studio, while Timothée Chalamet claimed Best Actor in a Motion Picture (Musical or Comedy) for Marty Supreme. Rhea Seehorn earned Best Actress in a Television Drama for Pluribus, and Wagner Moura took home Best Actor in a Motion Picture (Drama) for The Secret Agent. Jessie Buckley won Best Actress in a Motion Picture (Drama) for Hamnet, and One Battle After Another was named Best Motion Picture – Musical or Comedy.

Between surprise appearances, sharp comedy, and standout wins, the 2026 Golden Globes delivered a night that blended Hollywood glamour with plenty of laughs—and Snoop Dogg’s presence made it all the more memorable.
