Chris Stapleton Postpones Tour Dates Due to Illness, Raising Questions About Upcoming Shows

Why Chris Stapleton Is Postponing Shows Into 2026

The country star shared the news with fans on Thursday (Oct. 9), announcing that he would be unable to perform his scheduled Florida concerts on Oct. 10 and 11 after being diagnosed with bronchitis.

To all my friends in Hollywood, Florida, I am very sorry to let you all know I am battling bronchitis and am unable to perform this weekend’s shows as my doctors have put me on vocal rest,” Stapleton wrote in a heartfelt message.

He went on to thank fans for their understanding, adding, “I want to sincerely thank anyone who made plans to attend these shows. We appreciate your patience and understanding and look forward to seeing you next year.

According to his official tour schedule, the affected performances at Hard Rock Live in Hollywood, Florida, have been rescheduled for January 10 and 11, 2026.

Is Chris Stapleton Touring in 2025?

Stapleton has spent much of the year on the road with his All-American Road Show Tour, which launched in June and was originally set to conclude with the Florida dates.

His busy summer itinerary also included several high-profile stadium shows alongside George Strait, drawing massive crowds across the country.

The tour faced early challenges when its opening date on June 4 in Greenville, South Carolina, had to be postponed due to production equipment being damaged during transport.

Critical pieces of our tour production were damaged beyond repair while en route to Greenville. Unfortunately, without that equipment, we are unable to put on a show,” Stapleton explained at the time.

That concert was later successfully made up on July 9.

Is Chris Stapleton Nominated for the 2025 CMA Awards?

Despite the recent setbacks, Stapleton continues to enjoy major career momentum. He is among the nominees for the 2025 CMA Awards, earning nods for Male Vocalist of the Year, Music Video of the Year, and the evening’s top honor, Entertainer of the Year.

As fans await his return to the stage, messages of support continue to pour in, underscoring Stapleton’s enduring connection with his audience and their hopes for his full recovery.
