Blake Shelton Finally Reveals the Heartbreaking Truth Behind Those Gwen Stefani Divorce Rumors

Blake Shelton is shutting down online speculation about trouble in his marriage to Gwen Stefani, calling recent divorce rumors nothing more than internet noise fueled by misinformation and artificial intelligence.

During a recent appearance on the Country Countdown USA radio show, Shelton spoke candidly with host Lon Helton about how difficult it has become to separate fact from fiction online—especially when it comes to his personal life.

“Starting around October or November, I began seeing these stories pop up saying, ‘Blake and Gwen are split,’ or ‘They’re not even seeing each other anymore,’” Shelton shared. “Then a week later, a photo comes out of us leaving the grocery store together and suddenly it’s, ‘Oh, they’re back on.’”

He joked that the cycle never ends. “Another week goes by and we’re not photographed somewhere, and it’s back to, ‘They’re getting divorced.’ I finally told Gwen, ‘I don’t know what’s going on out there.’”

Shelton also admitted that artificial intelligence has made things even murkier. He’s seen realistic-looking photos of himself and Stefani online that he knows aren’t real. “I’ll look at them and think, ‘That looks so real,’ but then I realize I don’t even own that shirt—or I don’t recognize the car.”

Because of it all, the “God’s Country” singer says he’s changed how he consumes media entirely. “I don’t believe anything anymore,” Shelton admitted. “I mean nothing.”

Shelton and Stefani first met in 2014 when she joined The Voice as a coach. At the time, both were married—Stefani to Gavin Rossdale and Shelton to Miranda Lambert—but each finalized their divorces in 2015. Later that year, Shelton famously won Stefani over with a song, and the two began dating.

They married in July 2021 during an intimate ceremony at Shelton’s Oklahoma ranch. Stefani has since credited faith as a grounding force in their relationship, once sharing on The Drew Barrymore Show that the best advice she’s received about love is to always include a “third party”—referring to God.

Despite online rumors and digital trickery, Shelton and Stefani remain united, choosing real life over headlines and trust over speculation.
