What was meant to be a simple anniversary celebration quickly turned into a night of pure music history when Joe Walsh stepped up with guitar in hand and surprised everyone with a fiery performance of “Rocky Mountain Way.”
The occasion was Vince Gill and Amy Grant’s 24th wedding anniversary on June 10, 2025, in Nashville. Friends, family, and a handful of musical greats had gathered to toast the couple—but no one expected an Eagles legend to light up the night.
As soon as Walsh launched into that unmistakable opening riff, the backyard erupted. His gravelly vocals and soaring slide guitar carried through the summer air, giving the intimate gathering the energy of a stadium show.
