WATCH Kelly Clarkson Freeze in Pride as 11-Year-Old Daughter River Rose Hijacks Las Vegas Stage, Declares “I Wanna Sing,” and Steals the Show

Las Vegas, NV — Kelly Clarkson is beaming with pride as she watches her daughter follow in her footsteps—both on stage and behind the scenes. During a recent Studio Sessions residency at the Colosseum at Caesars Palace on July 18, the “Since U Been Gone” singer shared the spotlight with her 11-year-old daughter, River Rose, in a moment of spontaneous stardom.

Rather than shy away from the massive audience, River boldly declared, “I wanna sing tonight!” prompting Kelly to hand over the stage in a heartwarming mix of humor and admiration. The mother-daughter duo performed a confident duet of River’s favorite song, 2015’s Heartbeat Song. Fans couldn’t help but notice how much River mirrors her mom, even twinning in a t-shirt and flared jeans. This marked the second time River has joined her mom on the Vegas stage for the song.

River’s talents extend beyond performing—she also tried her hand at producing. In April, she shadowed showrunner Alex Duda on The Kelly Clarkson Show, attending meetings and stepping into the role of a “mini producer,” impressing her mom with her professionalism.

While Clarkson celebrates her children’s ambition, she acknowledges the challenges of balancing work and parenting. On her Not Gonna Lie podcast, she joked about missing school events due to her schedule and noted a playful double standard compared to her ex-husband, Brandon Blackstock.

River Rose’s fearless step into the spotlight is proof that Kelly Clarkson’s legacy of talent and determination is thriving in the next generation.
