Good news for fans of Reba McEntire—her NBC sitcom Happy’s Place is officially returning for Season 2 in 2025. The only catch? Viewers will have to wait a little longer than expected.
The comedy premiered last October to strong numbers, drawing more than four million viewers for its debut and maintaining an audience of roughly three to three-and-a-half million throughout its 17-episode first season. NBC renewed the show in February, confirming its place as one of the network’s newest comedy successes.
Season 2 Premiere Date
NBC has scheduled the new season for Friday, November 7, keeping the show in its familiar Friday night time slot. Fellow comedy St. Denis Medical will return a few days earlier on November 3. To help fans catch up, NBC plans to air back-to-back episodes of Happy’s Place on Fridays for the foreseeable future.
What the Show Is About
In the series, McEntire plays Bobbie McAllister, a woman who inherits her late father’s bar—only to discover she has a half-sister, Isabella, who now co-owns it. Much of the humor comes from their generational and cultural differences as they try to run the business together. The cast also includes Belissa Escobedo, Melissa Peterman, and Rex Linn, who is also McEntire’s real-life partner.
Reba’s Ongoing TV Career
Happy’s Place marks McEntire’s third sitcom, following her early-2000s hit Reba and later projects. Beyond acting, she continues to stay busy with music, award show hosting, and her role as a coach on The Voice, where she returns this fall.
At 70, McEntire remains one of country entertainment’s most active and recognizable stars, and Happy’s Place Season 2 is set to keep that momentum going when it arrives this November.
