On Monday night, February 2, the 25-year-old bluegrass singer and mother of three performed an original song, “String Cheese,” for judges Lionel Richie, Luke Bryan, and Carrie Underwood. Written during a battle with postpartum depression following the birth of her third child, the song shares her journey from frustration to the realization that “God had put me in that place, and that where I was in that house is the biggest ministry I could ever have.” Her heartfelt performance immediately resonated with moms across the country, sparking a viral movement.
A Musical Journey Rooted in Family
Hannah got her start performing with her family’s gospel bluegrass band, The Harper Family.
