Noah Orion Brings Rock ‘n’ Roll Energy to American Idol Auditions

If judge Carrie Underwood has her way, this season of American Idol will feature a few rockers in the Class of ’26—and one strong contender may be Noah Orion, lead singer of the band Wall of Sound. ABC gave fans an exclusive first look at his unforgettable audition.

During auditions, Underwood, Lionel Richie, and Luke Bryan heard a loud commotion outside the room. Stepping out, they found a “rock ‘n’ school bus” with Noah and his band performing on top.

“Judges, in front of you is the greatest rock ‘n’ roll audition you have seen in the history of American Idol,” Noah announced before launching into Motörhead’s “Ace of Spades.” Carrie, a longtime rock fan, sang along, clearly impressed.

“I feel the best class we can shape is going to be very eclectic,” Carrie said. “It’s more exciting when you include rock talent, and I just want to find that representative.”
