Top 20 leaked as a new twist in hawaii leaves fans eager to find out which songs were performed

American Idol dramatically refreshed its format for Season 24, giving fans plenty to talk about. This year, all auditions were held at Belmont University in Franklin, Tennessee, while the traditionally iconic Hollywood Week was relocated to Nashville. By the end of what was dubbed “Nashville Week,” the competition narrowed to 30 contestants, who advanced to the newly introduced Ohana Round.

The Top 20 performances were filmed on January 29 and 30 at the Disney Aulani Resort in Hawaii. Contestants performed before judges Lionel Richie, Luke Bryan, and Carrie Underwood, with Ryan Seacrest once again hosting. Adding a new layer to the judging process, a panel of “Industry Tastemakers” helped evaluate performances.

Platinum Tickets are still in play this season, with three awarded by a focus group of Industry Tastemakers who watched the Top 30 perform in Hawaii.

Three-Week Ohana Round

The Ohana Round will unfold over three weeks and includes country superstar Brad Paisley as a guest mentor for the Top 20. Photos from ABC also confirmed that Dancing With the Stars pro Sasha Farber was present in Hawaii.

Week one of the Ohana Round features the Top 30 performing for Industry Tastemakers, fellow contestants, and invited family and friends. After judges selected the Top 20, those artists performed across two additional weeks, likely for America’s vote.

According to The Futon Critic, the Ohana Round will air on:

  • Monday, March 9 – Top 30

  • Monday, March 16 & March 23 – Top 20 (Parts 1 & 2)

Trusted sources have also revealed spoilers for both the Top 30 and Top 20. While not officially confirmed, most of the names are believed to be accurate.
