NBC’s hit singing competition The Voice is returning in February 2026 with one of its biggest shake-ups yet. Officially titled The Voice: Battle of Champions, Season 29 premieres on February 23, 2026, and promises a fresh, high-stakes twist on the familiar format fans love.
This season marks a historic first for the franchise, featuring a three-Coach lineup made up entirely of veteran winners: Kelly Clarkson, Adam Levine, and John Legend. The longtime fan favorites are back in the iconic red chairs for an intense showdown that reimagines every stage of the competition — from Blind Auditions to the Finale.
A New Competitive Structure Across All Rounds
Season 29 delivers first-ever elements in all four rounds, blending strategy, risk, and legacy into a streamlined but more competitive experience.
Blind Auditions: The Triple Turn Competition
The Blind Auditions will feature the brand-new Triple Turn Competition, where Coaches compete to secure the most three-chair turns. The Coach with the highest total earns a major advantage in the next round. Each Coach will finish the Blinds with 10 Artists on their team.
Battle Rounds: The Super Steal
The winner of the Triple Turn Competition will receive a Super Steal during the Battles. This powerful one-time advantage overrides any competing Steal attempts, guaranteeing the winning Coach gets the Artist they want.
Knockouts: All-Star Face-Offs and CeeLo Green’s Return
The Knockouts introduce an In-Season All-Star Competition, with each Coach bringing back two former Artists from past seasons. These All-Stars will compete in head-to-head sing-offs, and the Coach with the most wins will automatically advance two Season 29 Artists to the Finale.
Adding to the excitement, original Season 1 Coach CeeLo Green returns in a brand-new role to judge the All-Star performances.
Live Shows: New Voting Power
The Semi-Finals will begin with the Top 9 Artists and narrow down to a Top 4 Finale. For the first time, voting will include an exclusive in-studio block made up of super-fans and former Voice Artists, who will vote live during the Semi-Finals and Finale.
