The Voice Shake-Up: Coach Walks Away After Behind-the-Scenes Dispute

Michael Bublé Exits The Voice After Emotional Season 28 Finale

Fans of The Voice are saying goodbye to one of the show’s most beloved coaches. Michael Bublé, who has been a fan favorite for his warmth, humor, and signature vocals, will not return for the next season, The U.S. Sun has learned.

The announcement comes in the wake of the two-night Season 28 finale, where Niall Horan’s finalist, Aiden Ross, was crowned the winner. While the celebration was in full swing for some, Bublé reportedly experienced a difficult night behind the scenes.

“Michael has already said that he’s done with the show after this season,” a production insider told The U.S. Sun. “It will be a big loss — he’s beloved here. Michael loves the show, the crew, and his role, but being away from family has been tough.”

In addition to family considerations, the singer has reportedly been affected by online backlash. “The fans’ negative comments have taken a toll on him. He needs to step away and focus on himself and his loved ones,” the insider added.

Fans noticed Bublé seemed “off” during the finale. Sources say he appeared upset after performing with his finalist, Max Chambers, and at one point expressed frustration over the band levels being “too loud” and overpowering the vocals.

“Michael seemed upset and not himself. Not sure if he was nervous or sick, but it was definitely an off night,” a source revealed. Social media quickly reflected viewers’ concern:

  • “Is Michael Bublé alright? He doesn’t sound right on #TheVoice Finale.”

  • “Wtf is going on with Michael…? Where’s his smooth and sultry voice?”

  • “Michael didn’t just sound off, he was acting a little off too…”

During the first part of the finale, Bublé hinted at his departure while praising his finalist, Jazz McKenzie. “I wrote you last night… this is it. This is my last time here,” he said, holding back tears. “I leave this show, and let me tell you, Jazz McKenzie, what a way to go. You are perfect.”

Bublé leaves behind a strong legacy on the show, having guided two previous winners, Sofronio Vasquez and Adam David, and mentoring two finalists this season, Jazz McKenzie and Max Chambers.

It has been officially confirmed that he will not return next season, as Kelly Clarkson, John Legend, and Adam Levine are set to take over for an upcoming Battle of the Champions season. The Voice winner with Michael Bublé.
