Is there anything more powerful than seeing Snoop Dogg openly moved to tears?
During the season 26 premiere of The Voice on September 23, emotions ran high when new coach Snoop Dogg witnessed a surprise moment created by fellow coach Reba McEntire during a blind audition by contestant Kendall Eugene.
Eugene delivered a heartfelt rendition of Don’t Think Jesus by Morgan Wallen. Although the coaches praised his performance, none initially turned their chairs. Almost immediately, McEntire realized she had made a mistake.
“I loved everything about it,” she admitted.
“You should’ve turned,” Eugene said.
“I was about to say the exact same thing,” McEntire replied.

That’s when she made history. Using the show’s brand-new Coach Replay button, McEntire reversed her decision, stunning both the audience and Eugene, who covered his face in disbelief as the crowd erupted.
The emotional wave didn’t stop there. Watching the moment unfold, Snoop Dogg urged, “Go give that man a hug,” and moments later, cameras captured him lifting his glasses and wiping away tears as McEntire and Eugene embraced on stage.
“I knew in my heart I wanted him on my team,” McEntire said afterward.
Snoop remained visibly moved, later getting emotional again during another standout moment of the night, when fellow coach Michael Bublé joined contestant Ben Fagerstedt for a performance of I’ve Got You Under My Skin, famously associated with Frank Sinatra.

“Damn, that was some incredible coaching,” Snoop said, rising to his feet in a standing ovation.
